Fish & Fur for Kettles & Knives

Fish & Fur for Kettle and Knives – a tale of the early years of Fort Langley (1827-30) and the local Kwantlen people. There was a population at the fort that was more Indigenous racially than non-Indigenous, and the primary languages were Chinook and French. The fort, as a study in intercultural relations, showed how well they can be managed. ©2022
